I've gone and done it now!

Today, I upped, went to Sears and bought a Singer electric sewing machine!

Yes, after bagging a Masters degree that has nothing to do with fashion, cost thirty thousand dollars and from a top 5 UK school, I have decided to make clothes...

Did I hear a gasp? a sigh.... perhaps a giggle at my madness or stupidity?

I dont blame you... but Yes, I have gone and done it...

I have always wanted to sew... I have pages and pages of sketches and there is nothing i find more delightful than turning something creative out from under my machine...

Why did I wait this long, work for 4 years... get an expensive Masters?

Simple... I've been scared of taking the leap!

However, I am taking it now...

Dear Blog family, I need your support... your encouragement and your followup...

Cos Tyger is plugging the machine to make some Haute Couture!

Nobody ever achieved greatness without taking the first step towards it. No wonder, Mary Mary sang, "...victory or defeat is up to me to decide, but, how can i expect to win if i never tried?..."

All the very best on your new journey.

Tyger, if this is ur true passion u HAVE to go for it. There are a lot of us that don't know what their passion is talk less turn it into a money making venture. My very good friend has a BA and Masters in Engineering but she has chosen to follow her passion- Beautician. She can do hair for any race u can think of and she's darn good at it. She's so good that she trains others.

So when u're ready to start sewing for customers- give us shout. :) Good luck!

A cat thats a seamstress... hmmm! Pls, even if you find a good temptation to make use of your 30grand... don't lose that machine... I suspect the sound of the needle and thread working out your exquisite stitches would always be music to heart...

Wow, now I see us clicking. Sewing is something I love to do someday. Girl, start by getting yourself a sewing machine and taking some classes. I am glad we share something in common.

...thats sounds very interesting...very tricky though...have you got what it takes to keep you from frustration in this fashion business, anytime you think about your expensive London school?...i shall however be not far away behind you whenever you need me...for modeling of course, not a crying shoulder...LOL...kisses
